Xiaomi has taken the MIUI 12.5 update from the stable beta to stable status and have, thus, been rolling it out to different units over the course of the past week.
The latest unit to get this update is the Mi CC9 Meitu Edition – and they even slapped Android 11 on top for better effect.
For those who know the Mi CC9, this is a Chinese-exclusive series from the OEM which has been doing well since 2019. The Meitu is a special edition of the same device but we are surprised that it is getting the update before the vanilla version of the unit.
As long as no issues are reported by users, though, you should get the same update if you are using the standard Mi CC9.
We also expect that the update makes it to the Mi 9 Lite since it is the rebranded version of the same device for global markets.
