In March, OPPO joined the league of smartwatch manufacturers when it unveiled the OPPO Watch. The smart wearable arrived in 41mm and 46mm size variants.
Now, the Chinese tech firm has unveiled the ECG edition of the OPPO Watch at the OPPO Developers Conference.
The ECG model of the device comes in the 46mm variant, and it features an electrocardiogram, which allows it to read the user’s ECG.
The OPPO Watch ECG edition has a dimension of 46 x 39 x 11.35mm, and it weighs 45.5 grams. The frame of the wearable has a stainless steel build, and it has a ceramic/sapphire back panel.
On its right spine, it features the function and navigation buttons.
As for the screen, the ECG edition of the OPPO Watch sports a 1.91-inch AMOLED display, which delivers a resolution of 402 x 476 pixels.
The screen features a 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut and a 326ppi pixel density.
On the inside, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 2500 chipset alongside the Apollo 3 lower chip. It arrives with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage space.
For the software, the new OPPO Watch boots to the watch edition of the ColorOS, which allows it to pair with devices running on at least Android 6.0 OS.
The watch supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, and an in-built GPS.
Commenting on the major highlight of the watch, OPPO claims that the ECG feature on the watch offers the same accuracy as a medical-grade equipment. The smartwatch supports professional electrocardiogram reading and provides real-time ECG reading just by tapping the display.
Furthermore, the ECG feature looks out for common heart conditions like premature heartbeats, supraventricular tachycardia, and atrial fibrillation.
Presently, the OPPO Watch ECG edition is now up for pre-sales on major retail platforms in China. The watch debuts with a price tag of 2,499 Yuan (~$366).
