The Android 9 Pie (Android 9 or Android P for short) was released about a week ago and ever since, a good number of OEMs have rushed to announce to their fans and users which of their devices will be getting the OS update, and which of them wouldn’t.
OnePlus was one of the pioneer smartphone manufacturer to do so; when it surprised users and announced that some of its old flagship will still get the Android P.
HMD Global have also followed suit; interestingly, all of its Nokia devices will be getting the latest Google OS update. However, as confirmed by the company’s C.E.O, the Nokia 7 Plus will be the first one of the pack to get the Android P.
The update is expected to start rolling out to most users of the Nokia 7 Plus in September. It is also expected that in the coming weeks —after the update fully rolls out to the 7 Plus— the next Nokia smartphone(s) that will receive the update will be made known.
