Sometime last week, Xiaomi teased the launch of its latest RedmiBook series. Now, the Chinese firm has unveiled its new generation of Ultrabook laptops; the RedmiBook 13, 14, and 16.
The new RedmiBook lineup is the latest addition to the company’s catalog of thin and light laptops with powerful specifications. The entire RedmiBook lineup, starting from the small 13-inch variant to the high-end 16.1-inch variant, will feature AMD’s newest processor-the Ryzen 4000 series mobile processor.
According to Xiaomi, the processor the latest Ultrabooks feature will improve their performances by up to 60%. The chips on the processor are based on the company’s Zen 2 architecture. The laptops will arrive in two Ryzen CPU variants, which means users can either opt for the high-end Ryzen 7 4700U processor or the budget-friendly Ryzen 5 4500U processor on their laptops.
The latest Ultrabook series will feature a 100% sRBG wide color gamut for a more accurate color display and a 90.6% screen to body ratio. The bezels around the screen are very thin measuring up to just 3.26mm.
Furthermore, the base model for all the laptops in the RedmiBook lineup will come with 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSD storage. The specifications on these laptops make them very flexible as they can be used for casual activities, office work, and even gaming, thanks to the AMD RX Vega graphics onboard.
For high-end models of the RedmiBook series, 16GB of RAM will be offered. The 16-inch model of the Ultrabook will ship with a 46Whr battery that lasts up to 12 hours and can charge up to 50% in about 38 minutes through a dedicated USB Type-C port.
As from June 1, all models of the Xiaomi RedmiBook will be available for sale. The base model for the RedmiBook 13, 14, and 16 will start at 3,799 Yuan (~$532).
