After a long wait, Vivo took to Vietnam to discreetly unveil the much-anticipated Vivo V23e handset. The phone is a pacesetter as it is the first device to debut under the Vivo V23 series. Before now, several reports have claimed that the lineup comprises other smartphone models.
However, Vivo is yet to speak on the other phones in the lineup. But some publications have mentioned the names of the other devices under the all-new V23 lineup; they include Vivo V23e 5G, Vivo V23, and Vivo V23 Pro+.
As the name implies, the Vivo V23e arrived as a replacement for the Vivo V21e that broke covers earlier this year.
Specifications of the Vivo V23e Smartphone
The handset has a dimension of 160.87 x 74.28 x 7.36mm, and it weighs 172 grams. The Vivo V23e’s frame houses a 6.44-inch under-display fingerprint scanner-fitted AMOLED panel that delivers a 60Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution.
Inside, the Vivo V23e sports the Helio G96 chipset, and it appears the leaks were legit all along. The device offers the user 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,050mAh battery that supports 44W charging via a USB-C port.
The Vivo V23e would ship with the FunTouch OS 12 based on Android 11 OS. For storage expansion, the handset comes with a dedicated Micro SD card port.
Talking cameras, the front side of the Vivo V23e has a notch that houses the 50-megapixel autofocus-enabled selfie snapper. The rear panel comprises a 64-megapixel primary snapper, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth shooter.
On the connectivity aspect, the Vivo V23e didn’t fall short of standards. It supports 5G, dual-SIM, GPS, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac. But, unfortunately, the handset lacks a 3.5mm audio port.
Pricing Details of the Vivo V23e Smartphone
The Vivo V23e handset arrived in Vietnam with a price tag of VND 8,490,000 (~$375). It will be available for purchase in colors like Melody Dawn and Moonlight Shadow.
