Google’s latest version of Android operating system, the Android 9 Pie, was officially announced out a couple a months ago. And while many OEMs like Nokia, Huawei and OnePlus have rolled out the Pie update to some of its flagship phones, Samsung is yet to give its users a taste of Android’s Pie.
However, thanks to a listing on WiFi Alliance’s website, the Android 9 might be on its way to some of Samsung’s flagship. The website which shows hardware and software information as well as certification summary for Samsung phones with model number SM-G9500, SM-G9550 and SM-N9500 (Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, and Galaxy Note 8 respectively) highlights that the trio run the Android 9 Pie OS.
While the three devices still run on the Oreo OS at the moment, this is a strong indication that the Android Pie is coming to users of these devices soon.
There is no official word nor confirmation yet from Samsung but it is believed that if the update doesn’t roll out to the aforementioned devices by November, it would definitely be available by Q1 2019.
