Since last week, Nubia has been steadily teasing the launch of its upcoming smartphone – the Nubia Red Magic 5S. Yesterday, the firm confirmed the release of the device and mentioned that the Nubia Red Magic 5S would debut on July 28.
After the Lenovo Legion gaming phone, ASUS ROG Phone 3, and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, the upcoming Nubia smartphone will be the fourth device to feature the Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset.
In March, the company announced the Red Magic 5G smartphone. It launched as the first 5G-ready gaming smartphone from the company. We believe the Red Magic 5S will debut as an upgraded version of the Red Magic 5G.
Apart from the all-new chipset that will power the Red Magic 5S, it will come with some other upgraded and attractive details.
Following the confirmation of the smartphones release date, the company further revealed that the Nubia Red Magic 5S would come with a display that supports a 240Hz touch sample rate and up to 144Hz refresh rate.
Since the smartphone is primarily targeted at gamers, it sports side-mounted trigger buttons for a better and smooth gaming experience. Unlike the Red Magic 5G that came with 300Hz touch sampling trigger buttons, the Red Magic 5G will arrive with 320Hz touch sampling triggers.
Alongside the SD865 Plus chipset, the device features an LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Furthermore, Nubia equipped the Red Magic 5S with an upgraded cooling system to enhance heat dissipation.
According to rumours, the Nubia Red Magic 5S will feature some specs found on the Red Magic 5G.
The Red Magic 5S may arrive with a Full HD+ 6.65-inch AMOLED display just like its predecessor. It is expected to feature a 64-megapixel triple camera system on its rear side and an 8-megapixel front-facing lens.
Other features to look forward to on the Red Magic 5S include fast charging technology, in-screen fingerprint scanner, and a satisfying battery capacity.
