Jumia now offers a better easy-to-navigate interface which will really improve the shopping experience of users in Africa.
The new website is designed with a mobile-first approach, making navigation easy on mobile devices which over 70% of Africans use to access the internet.
Jeremy Hodara the CEO of Jumia said:
“we wish to build the new Jumia platform as a home for brands, were each vendor can easily build its own online shop, its own universe. This way, Jumia’s customers will have access to a clear and effortless shopping journey”.
In the past one year, Jumia has grown to have lots of visitors to its online portals, and it succeeded in being ranked by Amazon’s Alexa as the most visited E-commerce website in Nigeria.
More emphasis has been placed on the development of a new framework that will help improve the loading time of the website and allow customers with low connection speeds to have access to the website.
Mr. Jeremy said,
“This newly redesigned website takes Jumia one step closer to its goal of offering a seamless user experience”.
Jumia has taken time to study the way people shop online, and its new platform reflects just that, because the product catalogs are now very simple and easy to browse, making it easier for every customer to see what they want without having to surf the entire site.
The vendors were not left out, in fact, this newly redesigned website layout gives the vendors selling on Jumia more visibility.
“This new design is the first of many initiatives for the year that will allow us to continue to surprise and delight you our customers and partners every time”,
said Jeremy Hodara.
