Online hotel booking platform Jovago, has launched an Extranet App for hotel managers in a bid to help them become more flexible and independent.
The app enables hotel managers to confirm new reservations, see and search through all reservations, change rates for any time period and change room availability for any time period.
They can also view customer reviews about their hotels, confirm guest check in and get some unique stats about hotel performance on the app. All this can be done whenever they like, creating a better experience for them and Jovago users.
The first feedback from users of the Extranet app is highly positive. Group General Manager of Sun Heaven Hotels in Nigeria, Michael Pinder, said:
“This Extranet App is a good addition, many hotels around the world use it and now to have it here is great.”
“Jovago wants to give the best international standards of the hotel industry and the latest technologies to all our Hotel partners, we want to democratize these new tools for all our partners and make their job easier,” Jovago CEO, Paul Midy, said.
Jovago’s inventory of 25,000 hotels in Africa is accessible to customers online. With this data, a hotel manager will easily know the pricing of his competitors, helping him to make informed decisions on how to remain competitive.
Jovago’s Head of Revenue Management, Eduard Meyjes, said the firm aims to empower hotel managers and its partners to get the best out of working with them.
“Phone communication can be challenging in Africa. With the app, hotels can make fast and reliable changes exactly when they want to. Especially smaller hotels can now benefit from smart tools, that were only available to larger hotel chains before,” he added.
Jovago also said it is working to launch the web version of the app.
