Last month, Honor introduced two budget-friendly smartphones in China; the Honor Play 4T and Honor Play 4T Pro. A fresh leak suggests that the smartphone manufacturer is getting ready to launch a new version of the Honor 4 series, the Honor Play4 Pro. A reliable tipster from China spotted the phone on a Chinese retail site and shared its specs.
The image of the Honor Play4 Pro has a display with a pill-shaped cutout at the top left corner for the selfie camera. It’s quite noticeable that the phone has very slim bezels, so it is expected to deliver a high screen to body ratio.
The volume rockers grace the right side of the device. Below the volume rocker is the power button, which doubles as a fingerprint scanner. The back panel of the phone has a futuristic design in different shades of blue. At the back of the phone, the phone features a rectangular shaped camera module with a 40MP primary shooter.
The 40MP lens on the Play4 Pro is a flagship-grade Sony IMX600Y RYYB sensor.
The size of the battery that will power this device is unknown for now, but the tipster revealed that the Honor Play4 Pro would be a 5G-enabled device.
According to the tipster, the device will be run by a 5G Kirin chipset. We are guessing it should be the Kirin 820 5G as it is the only non-flagship 5G-ready chipset made by Huawei.
