Come July 22, ASUS will be unveiling the ROG Phone 3 gaming smartphone in several markets. Multiple reports have shown that the device could be the first fun to run on the Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform.
The Snapdragon 865 Plus mobile platform is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 865 that fueled most of the Android flagships released this year.
An AnTuTu listing of the upcoming Lenovo Legion gaming phone surfaced earlier today, and it revealed that it would arrive with the Snapdragon 865+.
A few hours ago, ASUS shared a teaser video of the ROG Phone 3 and took it down not long after. Before the video was deleted, a tech page on Facebook was fast enough to get the clip and posted it on their page.
The clip states that the ROG phone 3 will be the most powerful gaming smartphone. A chip image with the inscription ‘’Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+’’ is seen in the clip.
The Snapdragon 865+ chipset will have higher CPU and GPU clocking speeds. The Lenovo gaming phone AnTuTu listing reveals that the chipset has one 3.09GHz Kryo 585 Prime CPU, three 2.4GHz Kryo 585 Gold CPU, and four 1.8GHz Kryo 585 Silver CPU.
Based on reports, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 may debut with a 6.59-inch AMOLED panel with support for up to 144Hz refresh rate. It may come with up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
