It is not every day you hear of a foreign brand launching their phone in Nigeria, so the introduction of the Xiaomi Mi A3 should be met with some warm reception. Although the launch was without any fanfare or event at all, the device itself is interesting enough for us.
For now, it is available in configurations of 4GB/ 64GB and 4GB/ 128GB, depending on how much you value internal storage options. Since there is a microSD card slot, though, we don’t think you need to worry about getting the highest memory option out of the box.
The least storage version has now been made available starting from #71,900 and the higher priced on will require an extra #8,000 for those who prefer that.
No matter which one you go for, you would still be getting the same 6-inch screen with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and a 32MP snapper inside the waterdrop-style notch. A flip over to the back brings you face to face with a triple camera setup made of a 48MP main snapper, an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a final 2MP depth sensor.
The device comes with the Android 9 Pie out of the box, following that up with a massive 4030mAh battery which should get you through the day in Nigeria.
Would you pick up this device? If not, which one would you rather pick?
