A couple of months back. Vivo took to Pakistan to unveil the Vivo Y51 smartphone. After the smartphone debuted in Pakistan, news and leaks started to suggest the smartphone will break cover in the Indian market soon.
Interestingly, the Vivo Y51 has finally arrived in India. However, it launched as a different device from the Vivo Y51 that debuted in Pakistan.
Specifications of the Vivo Y51
The handset packs a fairly-massive 6.58-inch IPS LCD panel that has a waterdrop notch design. The display has a tall aspect ratio, and it supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
The Vivo Y51 measures 163.9 x 75.3 x 8.4mm and weighs 188 grams.
As for photography, the Vivo Y51 comes with a 16-megapixel front-facing shooter that supports Aura Screen filter, which allows for better shots in low-light areas.
On the other hand, the phone’s backside sports a rectangular-shaped camera module at the top-left corner. It consists of a 48-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system.
The rear camera system is similar to that on the Vivo V20 and Vivo X50 series smartphones.
Talking internals, the Snapdragon 662 chipset alongside 8GB of RAM controls the operations of the Vivo Y51. It comes with proper native storage with a 128GB capacity, and it also supports storage expansion.
For the software, the Vivo Y51 runs on the FunTouch OS 11 based on the all-new Android 11 OS.
The Vivo Y51 supports connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a 3.5mm audio port, and a side-facing fingerprint reader for unlocking the phone.
Availability and Pricing of the Vivo Y51
The Vivo Y51 touched down in India in two colour variants, which includes crystal symphony and titanium sapphire.
The smartphone sells for Rs 17,990 (~$243).
