Vivo has announced the arrival of Vivo V3, a smartphone with a great selfie snapper and its sibling, the Vivo V3 Max, in India.
Both phones are packed with premium features. They have a lot in common, with the Vivo V3 Max having superior specs over the V3 in certain areas.
The Vivo V3 has a 5 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and runs Funtouch OS 2.5 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 616 processor with Adeno 405 GPU. This is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB via a micro SD card.
Vivo V3 has an 8 MP front camera which is great for taking selfies. There’s also a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash and PDAF.
The dual SIM device has 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as connectivity options and is backed by a 2550mAh battery. It measures 143.60mm x 71.00mm x 7.50 mm and weighs 138.00 grams.
The Vivo V3 Max on the other hand has a 5.5-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) Full HD display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla glass protection.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 652 SoC which is clocked with Adeno 510 GPU and 4GB of RAM. In addition to this is a 3000mAh battery which supports fast charging.
Vivo V3 Max measures 153.90mm x 77.10mm x 7.58mm and weighs 168.00 grams. The rest of its innards are the same with the Vivo V3.
Both smartphones also have a fingerprint sensor on the back which can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds or in 0.5 seconds in sleep mode.
The Vivo V3 costs Rs. 17,980 (that’s approximately 54,000 naira) while the Vivo V3 Max is priced at Rs. 23,980 (roughly 72,000 naira).
