Reports have it that Vivo is working on a new smartphone – the Vivo S9 5G. if the information is legit, the upcoming handset will debut as a self-centric phone like its predecessor – Vivo S7 5G.
Recently, a Chinese tipster claimed that the brand would announce the Vivo S9 5G on March 6. He also shared a few of the specifications to expect on the Vivo S9 5G.
According to the leak, the smartphone would arrive with a 6.4-inch panel with a notch design. It may feature a 44-megapixel dual front-facing snapper.
Therefore, it seems the upcoming Vivo S9 5G would sport the same 6.44-inch AMOLED screen on the Vivo S7 5G.
The Vivo S7 5G’s screen has a wide notch at the top centre of the display. The notch houses the front camera, speaker, and some sensors.
It appears the Vivo S9 5G would feature the same specs as the Vivo S7 5G regarding display.
The tipster further mentioned that the Vivo S9 5G would debut as the world’s first smartphone featuring the Dimensity 1100 SoC.
Recall, a Vivo device with model number V2072A surfaced on Google Play console a while back. The phone featured the Dimensity 1100 processor and a wide notch screen.
The new leaks suggest that the Vivo smartphone with model number V2072A may debut as the Vivo S9 5G.
The Google Play listing of the phone claims that it has 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of in-built storage.
Other specs of the Vivo S9 5G remain unknown. However, claims mention that it will ship with the Android 11 OS.
