In China, the Vivo Y52s is the most recent 5G-enabled budget smartphone to launch in the market.
Though a budget device, the handset packs a host of impressive features like a high display refresh rate and an improved camera system with a unique design.
The latest Vivo Y52s happens to be the third smartphone from the brand to feature the Dimensity 720 SoC.
The Vivo Y52s comes with a 6.58-inch LCD screen that supports a 20.07:9 aspect ratio and delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels.
The display also carries support for a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10, and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz.
Further, the smartphone provides to the user a 90.61 percent screen to body ratio.
The Dimensity 720 chipset drives the Vivo Y52s. The processor is assisted by 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and the phone offers the user with 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
One minor downside the phone has is its lack of support for additional storage.
Nevertheless, the Vivo Y52s comes pre-loaded with the FunTouch OS based on Android 11 OS.
Interestingly, Vivo introduced a liquid-cooling technology on the handset. The feature helps the phone maintain internal temperature and regulate temperature.
For the optics, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a 48-megapixel + 2-megapixel rear camera setup housed in a rectangular-shaped module.
The lenses on the Vivo Y52s supports features like 10x digital zoom, EIS, 4K video recording, night scene mode, time-lapse, and slow-motion video recording at 1080p.
Not only does the Vivo Y52s house a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W dual-engine fast charging, but it also comes with security features like face unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The handset stormed the Chinese market in colour options like monet, coral sea, and titanium grey. It retails for 1,898 Yuan (~$290).
