Late March, the Vivo S6 5G was unveiled by Vivo. Now, the smartphone manufacturing company has launched a new version of the Vivo S6 5G-the Vivo G1 5G; A smartphone customized for enterprise customers. The addition of NFC and a dual profile for work and personal use is the only difference between the two devices.
The Vivo G1 5G comes in black, which the only color option the phone has, unlike the Vivo S6 5G. The phone is run by the same Samsung Exynos 980 SoC coupled with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.
As regards the display, the Vivo G1 5G sports a 6.44-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED HDR10 screen with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Looking at the camera on this device, on the rear, it features a quad-camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor all inside a round housing. In the water-drop notch located at the top center of the screen sits a 32MP selfie camera.
Based on Android 10, the phone runs Funtouch OS 10 with dual profile functionality. The work profile and personal profile are independent of each other. The employee’s company can control the overall operation of the work profile.
A special Police Edition of the Vivo G1 5G with customized features is in existence. For the police officers, for instance, the phone can be connected to the public security intranet and configured to show the position of police officers per time.
The phone features fast charging and is powered by a 4,500mAh battery.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the standard edition of the Vivo G1 5G starts at 3,498 Yuan (~$494) while the police edition starts at 4,499 Yuan (~$636).
