Vernee is the latest Chinese company that has entered the smartphone arena recently. The smartphone manufacturer has launched two latest devices, dubbed the Vernee Apollo and the Vernee Thor.
Vernee Thor is a budget-friendly handset that comes with a $130 price tag. The device features competitively modest specs.
On the other hand, Vernee Apollo is priced at $400. Apollo features high-end specifications and is a premium quality offering of Vernee, making it an excellent substitute to the other latest smartphone flagships.
Notably, Vernee Apollo is the only smartphone, except for Vivo XPlay 5S, to flaunt a huge 6GB RAM. The handset also features 128 GB of internal storage.
The Chinese brand has also come up with a mini/lite version of the Apollo named Vernee Apollo Lite. The handset features all-metal design.
Essentially, the Lite version of Apollo is identical to the original version except for a few design alterations.
On the specs front, the smartphone features a full HD 5.5-inches display with 1920 × 1080 pixels screen resolution.
The handset is fueled by Helio X20 deca-core SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage on board that can be extended via microSD card slot.
In terms of camera, Vernee Apollo Lite packs in dual LED flash supported 16MP rear camera along with 5MP front-facing snapper to click selfies.
The device sports dual SIM dual standby by employing a hybrid SIM slot. The handset is priced at $200 (around 40,000 Naira).
In this price bracket, Apollo Lite is apparently the most economical Helio X20 driven device.
Thus far, no accurate information regarding the exact date of the launch of the handset has surfaced. However, the current speculations hint at May 2016 launch.
Apart from Apollo Lite, Vernee is also said to be preparing for the Lite variant for its Thor smartphone. Thor Lite might be made official in the forthcoming weeks.
