The South Korean electronics giant Samsung is well-known for launching tablets in nearly every price segment. Recently a few images of a new Samsung Galaxy tablet have surfaced. The latest Samsung slate is still in the works and it is being anticipated that this tab will be released soon.
The reports and leaks suggest that Samsung will launch two tablets, one named Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 and the other one christened Samsung Galaxy Tab E 7.0.
None of the devices has formally been announced by the company. However, in a surprising leak yesterday, the tablet called Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 was spotted on an online retailer. The slate was available for the pre-orders.
The new Samsung tablet will be available in two color options including black and white. In addition, the logo of the device on the online retail site features a number ‘6’ referring to the fact that the Galaxy Tab A is being launched in 2016.
The reports suggest that the new slate will feature a 7.0-inches IPS display with 1280×800p screen resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 will be powered by quad-core SoC clocked at 1.3GHz. For storage, the tablet will pack in 1.5GB of RAM coupled with 8GB of internal storage that can easily be extended via a microSD card.
In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A will also embrace a 5MP rear camera along with 2MP front-facing shooter for selfies. The device will measure 18.69cm×10.88cm×0.87cm and will weigh 0.283kg.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7.0 will be driven by Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The device will be powered by a 4000mAh battery backup.
As listed at PLN 599, the Galaxy Tab A is expected to set back its users by $150 approximately. The tablets will begin shipping on 8th of March.
Samsung has yet to release an official statement about the forthcoming devices.
