The Tecno Spark 5 debuts with some fantastic features. The phone boasts a 6.6-inch screen with a 90.2% screen to body ratio. It rocks a quad camera on the rear side with a quad-LED flash, an octa-core processor running on Android 10, and a massive 5000mAh battery.
The display, which has 720 x 1,600-pixel resolution houses the 8MP selfie camera just at the top left corner. The front camera is accompanied by dual-LED flash-which is an infrequent feature in smartphones.
The main module of the quad-camera at the back of the phone features a 13MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture; a quad-LED flash supports this. Following the primary sensor is a 2MP macro camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and, of course, the fourth camera. The function of the fourth camera is not entirely explained in the official specs, so your guess is as good as ours-we think it’s just there to boost the camera count.
The Tecno Spark 5 runs Android 10 with HiOS 6.1 modifications. Though the chipset on this device is unknown for now, we do know it is powered by an octa-core CPU with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
Next to the camera, on the back of the phone, is a fingerprint reader that unlocks the phone. The selfie camera as well doubles as a face ID, which can as well be used to unlock the phone.
On the connectivity side, 4G is present with VoLTE support and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
With a wavy grooved pattern on the back of the phone, there are four colors to choose from Misty Grey, Vacation Blue, Ice Jadeite, and Spark Orange.
The Tecno Spark 5 is on the very affordable side. The pre-order price in Ghana is GHS 720, which is equivalent to $125/€115.
