Last month, the specifications and pictures of an upcoming Tecno device, Tecno Pova, leaked. The Chinese phone maker officially announced the much-anticipated device in India yesterday.
Presently, Flipkart has put up a landing page for the Tecno Pova on its online platform. The smartphone’s listing mentioned that it would debut on December 4.
The device has debuted in some other markets such as Nigeria and the Philippines so, we are aware of its entire specifications except for the price it will sell for in India.
The new Tecno Pova sports a massive 6.8-inch panel that has an aspect ratio of 20.5:9 and delivers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1640 pixels. It has a dimension of 171.2 x 77.6 x 9.4mm.
For optics, the Pova handset has an 8-megapixel selfie snapper and packs a triple camera system on its backside. The camera system comprises of a 13-megapixel primary shooter followed a 2-megapixel macro snapper and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
The rear camera alongside the flash unit is housed in a rectangular-shaped module at the top left corner of the phone’s back.
To the internals, the MediaTek-Powered Helio G80 chipset runs the Tecno Pova. It shelters 6GB of RAM and 64GB / 128GB of storage.
The handset runs on the HiOS 7 based on Android 10 OS, and it allows for storage expansion through a dedicated microSD card slot.
The Tecno Pova houses a massive 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging for backup.
For connectivity, it supports 4G, dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, a micro USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It has support for a rear-fitted fingerprint scanner for unlocking the device.
