Tecno launches improved Spark 8 with better camera, chipset and battery

Tecno is not slowing down is bringing new devices to the market too, and the Spark 8 is the latest in the long line of what’s to come from the country. Initially launched and announced in Nigeria, the device has made its way to India also as more spotlights start to turn onto it.

The latest unit from the Asian OEM improves on the Spark 7 from last year in the areas of cameras and other under the hood changes, packing a MediaTek Helio A25 chipset and pairing that with 2GB of RAM under the 6.52-inch screen.

This Spark series has always done wonders for the entry level users and this one is going to be no exception.

Looking elsewhere, we have a 64GB internal storage space which is expandable with a microSD card slot. For the cameras, the front part of the phone carries an 8MP sensor while the rear comes with a double sensor led by a 16MP snapper. On the same back of the device is a fingerprint reader for added security.

Diving under the hood, software matters are handles by the Android 11 Go Edition which qualifies the device for a series of updates in the near future. Wrapped up with a massive 5000mAh battery and decent 10W charging, the device is no slouch at an equivalent of $109 across markets.
