Africa-famous smartphone maker Tecno, have launched an upgrade to the Tecno J7, dubbed the Tecno Boom J8.
The smartphone has been quietly introduced in Nigeria and is expected to range between 40,000 and 50,000 Naira, depending on your location in the country.
Tecno Boom J8 comes in super white, space grey and champagne gold color variants. One can expect it to be available at major retailers nationwide. It currently sells on Konga for 43,000 Naira (Check Here).
The Tecno Boom J8 comes in a 5.5-inch (720 x 1280 pixels ) IPS Capacitive touchscreen display with a pixel density of 320 PPI. It measures 153.3x 76.84x 7.35 mm and has a plastic build with metal trimmings.
The phone runs Android Lollipop out of the box with Tecno HiOS User Interface on top. The HiOS was built to make the phone’s operating system more unique. It’s worthy to note that the Boom J8 is the first Tecno phone to sport this customised OS.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 64-bit quad core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. This is further supported by a Mali-T720 graphics processor and 2GB RAM.
These engine specs will offer prospective users a good experience when executing apps and multitasking.
The Tecno Boom J8 has an internal memory storage of 16GB which can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
There’s a 13 MP camera on the back of the Tecno Boom J8 with autofocus and LED flash while a 5 MP front camera is available for taking selfies and making video calls. The front camera also comes with LED flash.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, GPS and microUSB 2.0.
The Tecno J8 has sports FM Radio and dual SIM support. Accelerometer, light and proximity sensors are also embedded in the phone.
Furthermore, the Tecno Boom J8 is backed by a non-removable 3,000 mAh Li-ion battery which supports the Fast Charge feature. With this feature, a 15 minutes charge will give the phone 8 hours of call time. Checkout Here
