Last month, the Vivo Y31s smartphone debuted in China as the world’s first handset featuring the Snapdragon 480 SoC.
Not too long ago, the product listing of a Vivo device named Vivo Y31s Standard Edition surfaced on China Telecom’s website.
It appears that the Standard Edition is a new chipset variant of the earlier released Vivo Y31s smartphone.
The upcoming handset has the model number V2068A, and the Vivo Y31s has the model number V2054A.
The two smartphones have identical designs and similar physical qualities like a square-shaped rear camera module, a side-fitted fingerprint scanner, and a waterdrop notch display.
Specifications of the Vivo Y31s Standard Edition
The Vivo Y31s Standard Edition comes with a 6.51-inch HD+ panel that offers the user a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.
The Dimensity 700 processor drives the Vivo Y31s Standard Edition. The listing mentions the model number of the chipset as MT6833.
Asides from the display and chipset, the upcoming Vivo Y31s Standard Edition shares the same specifications as the Vivo Y31s.
The handset features an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. On the rear, it packs a camera setup that comprises a 13-megapixel primary snapper and a 2-megapixel snapper.
The phone houses a battery rated 4,910mAh – its actual size could be 5,000mAh. However, the 3C listing of the Vivo Y31s Standard Edition states that it may carry support for 18W charging.
For software, the handset comes pre-installed with the Android 11 OS.
Rumours say the Vivo Y31s Standard Edition would arrive in China in two variants – 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage.
The former carries a price tag of 1,499 Yuan (~$232) and the latter 1,699 Yuan (~$262). There is a possibility that the Standard Edition will sell for a lower price than the Y31s.
Nonetheless, the listing mentions that the firm will unveil the Vivo Y31s on February 27.
