Earlier this year, iQOO unveiled the iQOO Neo5 smartphone; and not long after, the company took the covers off the iQOO Neo5 Lite – Vitality Edition. Following the arrival of the Vitality Edition of the Neo5 series, the tech giant hasn’t released any other smartphone in the lineup.
However, recent reports mentioned that the iQOO might soon launch a new smartphone in China under the Neo brand name. Presently, the marketing name of the upcoming Neo device remains a mystery. But a Chinese tipster, Bald Panda, has shared some of the specs of the forthcoming handset.
Surprisingly, another tipster shared more details regarding the mystery iQOO Neo smartphone, and she mentioned that the phone would hit the markets under the iQOO Neo5s moniker. Speculations believe that iQOO may announce the device soon.
The first tipster claims that the phone would debut with a BOE-supplied curved OLED panel measuring 6.56-inches, and it will support 10-bit colors.
The Snapdragon 888 SoC will oversee the operations of the iQOO Neo5s. And it will house a 4,500mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the other tipster stated that the iQOO Neo5s would feature a 120Hz refresh rate and a 16-megapixel selfie snapper. The back panel of the phone would sport an OIS-enabled 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 triple camera setup.
This tipster confirmed that the handset would house a 4,500mAh battery and stated that it would support 66W fast charging.
Other impressive features to expect from the upcoming iQOO smartphone include a second-generation independent display chip, a linear motor, dual speakers, and a second-gen liquid-cooled heat dissipation system.
The iQOO Neo5s may arrive in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage editions. Speculations say that the former may retail for 2,999 Yuan (~$465), and the latter 3,499 Yuan (~$542).
