About two months ago, Huawei sold off its prominent sub-brand, Honor. Since the sale, many tech enthusiasts have been looking forward to the firm’s first release as an independent brand.
Before the sale, the brand has teased the launch of the Honor V40 series on different occasions.
A fresh leak has now revealed that the brand has re-scheduled the launch of the much-anticipated V40 series for January 18.
Interestingly, a specs sheet revealing the features of the upcoming Honor V40 smartphone has leaked.
The leak reveals that the smartphone weighs about 184 grams, and it has a dimension of 163.3 x 74.1 x 7.9mm.
It would arrive with a 6.72-inch OLED screen with a punch-hole design and 80-degree curvature on the edges.
The display supports custom 1236 x 2676 pixels of Full HD+ resolution, refresh rate of 120Hz, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and 1.07 billion colours.
On the front side, it houses a 32-megapixel selfie snapper in its on-screen punch-hole.
The rear panel of the phone sports a quad-camera system. It may include either a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 lens or 64-megapixel camera as the primary sensor.
The primary lens may come with other lenses such as a super-wide 8-megapixel lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Under the hood, the Dimensity 1000+ chipset will oversee the operations of the Honor V40 smartphone. It will offer the user 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 / 256 GB of onboard storage.
For backup, the Honor V40 will arrive with a 4,000mAh battery that supports 45W wireless fast charging. The phone also carries support for 66W of wired fast charging.
