A few days into October, Vivo announced the Vivo Y73s 5G smartphone. One of the highlights of the smartphone is the processor it features – the Dimensity 720 chipset.
Today, the firm discreetly unveiled two smartphones in the Vivo Y-series. The Vivo Y30 and the Vivo Y3s.
Specifications and Price of the Vivo Y30
The Chinese variant of the Vivo Y30 differs from the Vivo Y30 that is available in the Indian market.
The new model arrived in China as a remake of the Indian edition of the Vivo Y20, but with upgraded RAM and storage.
The Chinese edition of the Vivo Y30 comes with an HD+ 6.51-inch IPS LCD. The screen has a waterdrop notch design and offers a 20:9 aspect ratio.
On the inside, the Snapdragon 460 mobile platform fuels the Vivo Y30. It has 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
The Chinese edition of the Vivo Y30 sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. A rear-mounted triple camera system which includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a pair of 2-megapixel lenses is present on the phone’s back.
The handset carries support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
It also features a side-facing fingerprint scanner and a micro USB port for charging. The Vivo Y30 houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging tech.
It comes pre-loaded with the FunTouch OS 10.5 based on Android 10.
The Vivo Y30 retails for 1,498 Yuan (~$224), and it will be available in colour choices such as aqua blue, dawn white, and obsidian black.

The Vivo Y3s arrives as a higher variant of the Vivo Y3 that debuted in China last year.
The smartphone houses an HD+ 6.35-inch IPS LCD panel, which has a waterdrop notch and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
The Helio P35 chipset drives the Vivo Y3s smartphone alongside 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM. It comes with 128GB of in-built eMMC 5.1 storage.
The Vivo Y3s boots to the FunTouch OS 9 based on Android 9 Pie OS, and it relies on a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W of charging for its backup.
The handset has an 8-megapixel camera for taking selfies on its front side. A triple camera system that includes a 13-megapixel primary shooter, an ultrawide 8-megapixel lens, and a 2-megapixel depth assist snapper, is present on the rear panel.
It features connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, micro USB port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Vivo Y3s sells for 1,198 Yuan (~$180) and is available in colour editions like red, dark blue, and sea breeze.
