Sony has started sending media invitations for its grand event to be held on October 21st in India where it will release the new range of Xperia Z5 cell phones which were announced at the IFA 2015 event.
Sony previously announced that Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Compact’s shipping will start in October while the world’s first 4K resolution display smartphone, Xperia Z5 Premium, will be shipped in November.
Sony Xperia Z5 Specs
Roughly talking about specs, the Sony Xperia Z5 features a 5.2 inches 1080p HD display. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage capacity that is further expandable up to 200GB using a microSD card. The software has been updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The rear camera offers 23 megapixels that provides 4K video recording while the front cam is rated at 5 MP. This cell phone holds IPX5 / IPX8 certification, making it dust and water proof. The power backup is provided by a 2900mAh battery pack.
On the other hand, Xperia Z5 Premium rocks with a 5.5 inches display embedded with 4K technology and 806ppi pixel density. It must be remembered that only specific application and commands support the 4K display features.
The processing unit is built-up of 64-bit Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity that can be further enhanced up to 200GB with a microSD card.
It features a 23 megapixels rear cam while hours of mobile surfing can be enjoyed with a 3430 mAh battery bank.
Xperia Z5 Compact will probably not be launched in India. This smartphone supports a 4.6 inches 1080p display.
Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor boosts the processing power along with a 2GB RAM and 32GB built-in memory that can be expanded using a microSD card. This Xperia phone is powered by a 2300mAh battery.
Xperia Z5 will hang a price tag of GBP 599 in the UK and EUR 699 in Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands and Spain. While Xperia Z5 Premium will hit the markets at GBP 699 in the UK and EUR 700 in Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands and Spain.
For now the launch prices of the Sony Xperia devices for India is yet to be revealed.
