Sony has announced the arrival of three new smartphones in the Xperia X series- the Sony Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA.
The Sony Xperia X and the Xperia XA have been listed for pre-orders via Amazon Germany. The Xperia X is listed with a price tag of $599 (roughly 120,000 Naira) while the Xperia XA is listed for $299 (that’s about 60,000 Naira).
Pricing and availability details of the Xperia X Performance aren’t out yet but all three phones are expected to hit stores starting from June 2016.
The three smartphones will be available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colour variants.
All three Xperia X models run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will be available in dual-SIM variants -the Xperia X Dual, Xperia XA Dual, and Xperia X Performance Dual.
The Sony Xperia X sports a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Triluminos display, and measures 142.7×69.4×7.9mm.
It packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor under the hood. The device sports 3GB of RAM, has 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 200GB via microSD card, and 4G LTE support.
The Sony Xperia X has a 23 megapixel rear camera with pulse LED flash and a 13 megapixel front camera. It is backed by a 2620mAh battery and weighs 153 grams. Its dual-SIM version packs 64GB inbuilt storage.
The Sony Xperia X Performance is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, measures 143.7×70.4×8.7mm and weighs 164 grams.
It packs a 2700mAh battery. The rest of its specs are same as what’s obtained in Sony Xperia X.
The Sony Xperia XA on the other hand features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6755 coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage.
Like its siblings, it also supports expandable storage via microSD card up to 200GB. There’s a 13 megapixel camera with LED flash and also an 8 megapixel front camera.
It is backed by a 2300mAh battery, measures 143.6×66.8×7.9mm, and weighs 138 grams.
