Sony improves list of devices getting May security patch

Jumia Black Friday Deals

After Sony rolled out the security update for the month of May to units such as the Xperia XZ, XZs and X Performance yesterday, they have started today with yet another push to some others in the Xperia line-up. As of now, we can confirm that the Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact, XZ Premium, Xperia X and X Compact are all getting the same security fix too.

The updates carry different firmware versions for the XZ series and X series but that does not do anything to change the sameness of what’s on board. If you have any of these devices at hand, sit tight while the notification to get your very own OTA update hits your unit.
