Sony is currently testing the markets with the new Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III launches from last year but it seems that the OEM is turning its sights to launching a new unit soon.
According to a leakster on Weibo, the ‘new U’ will make the market soon and is already far advanced in the pipeline. With the chosen alphabet, we can only think that this would be an Ultra device.
Sony waits longer than this into the year to launch their flagships but since they were able to hit the markets with the last units fast enough, they don’t have to wait that long anymore.
Of course, this is merely a leak that is yet to be confirmed by the company itself. Likewise, the leakster posted this on their Weibo account in Chinese, so some other intricate details might have been lost in translation.
