Smartphones are meant to do a lot of things, but these days, they are also expected to double as cameras. Especially the flagships, and that is why we have units like the Galaxy S20 series trending in this department.
While we have heard and seen so much about the camera setup till now, it seems that the company is going another way for the cameras on the Galaxy S20 Ultra. This is supported in part by some renders which were based off the verdicts of some of the most reliable tipsters in the market.
According to the new leaks, the phone is expected to ship with a main 108MP sensor from Samsung, which makes sense since Xiaomi is expected to use the same sensor in its upcoming MI 10. Likewise, the main sensor will be supported by a 12MP camera for ultrawide shots, while there would be a ToF camera for 3D mapping as in the previous versions of this phone.
All that said, though, the promised periscope camera from Samsung could be the single sensor to make the difference between this company and all other flagships from last year and the current year. As we inch close to the Samsung Unpacked event, we just can’t wait to see what this company has in store for us already.
