This is not the first time that Samsung devices have suffered display issues after they have been in the market for some time. This time around, the unlucky users who have these complaints are using either the Galaxy S20+ or Galaxy S20 Ultra.
The issue was first reported by a user in the Samsung forums a couple of months ago. The user complained that they had a flickering screen after they had been using the device for a while. In their case, they were playing some games.
Samsung support advised that he perform a soft reset of his device at that time which was supposed to eliminate the green and white flicker that applied on the screen. However, the soft reset only seemed to make the issue even worse when he did that.
Now, more reports of the same issue are emerging on Reddit and YouTube, so that was not an isolated incident.
There were no new updates pushed to the unit, which might have been the case like what we had on the iPhone 11 series sometimes in the past. It could also be that the screen panel on these devices are not as quality as the others and they had simply burnt out from use.
No matter which it is, we have to wait on the official statement from Samsung, and see how they hope to fix this issue for users who have shelled out several hundreds of dollars for the flagship.
