Samsung has launched a new affordable 4G LTE smartphone, the Galaxy J2 in India. The new smartphone comes with some great features and will be available in black or white colours.
Some eye-catching features have been added to the Galaxy J2 like ‘Ultra Data Saving’ (UDS) mode to allow more internet surfing with less data usage.
UDS mode provides 50% savings in data and spares up to 11% of RAM. Download Booster has also been added to the device that couples 4G with Wi-Fi to provide ultra-high internet speed.

“The concept of Galaxy J2 was to provide users a complete three key package that includes rich and immersive display, high speed internet and a boosting efficient device,”
Samsung Galaxy J2 features a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor and 1GB RAM.
It features 8GB storage capacity that is expandable by up to 128GB via microSD card.
Galaxy J2 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. It has a TouchWiz UI on top, a 5 megapixels rear cam with LED flash and a 2 megapixels front cam. The cellphone measures 136.5 x 69 x 8.4mm in dimensions.
unlike the Galaxy J1, the Samsung Galaxy J2 is capable of 4G and LTE connectivity. Other connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro USB.
The power backup is provided with a 2000mAh battery that provides hours of surfing.
Manu Sharma, Director Samsung India said in his statement:
“The Galaxy J2 is a midrange phone that has a superb feature of data saving. This is the first ever device from Samsung with this unique feature. India is capable of 4G and that is where Samsung is focusing on.”
Galaxy J2 has been released in gold, white and black color finish and faux-leather back panel. It will be available across all channels on September 21 for almost $85 (16,900 Naira).
