For now, there is no affordable 5G phone on the market – but it is said that Samsung is doing something to that effect. If the leaks and rumours are true, they could be the first company to launch an affordable smartphone with 5G capabilities – and it is going to be called the Galaxy A90.
Even more, rumours have suggested that the phone will be made available in both 4G and 5G variants, giving those who need the device an option they cannot refuse. With every passing of the day, the leaks seem to be coming true for this device supposed to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset.
Now, we have the device going though GeekBench – and we can confirm a lot of the things we have been hearing from the revelations here.
For one, the device will surely have the SD 855 chipset under the hood, and that is paired with 6GB of RAM. Likewise, the phone ships with Android Pie out of the box. We expect that it would get an update to the Android Q, but that is just a guessing game for now.
That is about all we have from GeekBench.
Combining that with other leaks, we could be looking at a 6.7-inch FHD+ screen with a triple camera combination on the back. Now that we have seen it on GeekBench though, it shouldn’t be long before the unit makes the market.
