Earlier in February, some executives at Realme revealed the upcoming flagship smartphone from the brand.

Rumours have it that the smartphone would debut officially after the Chinese New Year.

Since last year December, the Chinese firm has been teasing the arrival of the handset.

Surprisingly, the Reale CEO – Xu Qi – has revealed some information that suggests that the upcoming handset could launch in China as Realme GT.

Today, executives at Realme confirmed that the Realme GT 5G smartphone will launch on March 4 – about two weeks from now.

The firm released a poster that contains the name and launch details of the Realme GT 5G.

The poster also features some icons at the bottom left corner that hints that the phone would come with a powerful chipset, a high refresh rate, and fast charging capability.

It is no longer news that the Realme GT 5G would arrive with the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform.

The handset would likely come with an OLED display with support for up to 120Hz refresh rate.

Speculations say there could be higher variant featuring a massive 6.81-inch OLED screen. It would deliver 3K resolution and up to 160Hz refresh rate.

If the leaks are legit, the Realme GT 5G could be the first from the firm to support 125W UltraDart fast charging technology.

From indications, it seems the model number RMX2202 belongs to the Realme GT 5G. The smartphone appeared on TEENA recently. And its images show that it has a punch-hole display and a rectangular-shaped camera module on the rear.

The back panel of the phone sports the inscription ‘GT’ at the bottom right corner.

However, the specifications of this Realme device is yet to appear in its TEENA listing.

Nonetheless, a piece of information leaked regarding the Realme RMX2202 last December.

It mentions that the phone has 12GB of RAM, 256GB of onboard storage, and it’s loaded with the Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 OS.

The Realme GT got approval from the Bluetooth SIG authority, and it has bagged the EEC certification.

Hence, the handset would also debut in Europe.
