A couple of days into August, Realme took covers off the Realme C12 and Realme C15 smartphones in Indonesia. Today, the firm officially announced the two smartphones in India.
The new members of the Realme C-series come with large displays and batteries. The duo arrives with similar specs and gaming-focused chipsets. However, the Realme C12 and Realme C15 differ in aspects like fast charging tech and camera configurations.
The Realme C12 and Realme C15 each sport a 6.5-inch LCD display with waterdrop notch design. Both devices have a 20:9 aspect ratio and supports HD+ resolution.
On the inside, both phones will be powered by the Helio G35 chipset alongside LPDDR4x RAM. They offer the users with eMMC 5.1 storage and feature a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.
As for the lenses, the Realme C15 debuts with a quad-camera setup on its backside. The camera setup includes a 13-megapixel primary camera, an ultrawide 8-megapixel lens with a 119-degree FOV, a 2-megapixel b/w shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens.
The phone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera buried in the on-screen notch and also carries support for 18W fast charging tech.
In Contrast, the Realme C12 debuts with a triple secondary camera system. The rear camera is led by a 13-megapixel primary sensor followed by a 2-megapixel b/w lens and a 2-megapixel depth assist camera. It features a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and supports 10W charging.
Each of the phones rely on a 6,000mAh battery for backup. Out of the box, the duo comes pre-installed with Realme UI based on Android 10 Operating System.
They both sport rear-mounted fingerprint sensors. The duo support connectivity options like dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB port.
The Realme C12 is available in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage version, and it retails for Rs. 8,999 (~$120).
On the other hand, the Realme C15 comes in two variants – the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage edition which costs Rs. 9,999 (~$137) and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage edition which carries a price tag of Rs. 10,999 (~$147).
Sales of the Realme C12 and Realme C15 will take place on August 24 and August 27 respectively. The devices can be purchased through Realme.com and Flipkart.
