The Poco X3 Pro has not even made it to the general populace yet, but the device has already started getting updates pushed out to it.
Even though the phone has only been sold to limited users, the update is not rolling out to all of them yet either. It is in a monitored stable beta phase where developers are keeping an eye on making sure it doesn’t break anything else before they can roll it out to the entire population that own the unit.
Weighing 803MB, you might want to connect to a Wi-Fi network so that you don’t incur additional data costs. Otherwise, you are good to go.
The changelog on the update points to performance boosts and optimisations. The June security patch also comes with this update, so we’ll have to wait for another one to carry the July security updates.
Likewise, bugs in the notifications badge section have been fixed, additional gesture shortcuts are on the unit and the Notes app seems to have undergone a complete overhaul.
Overall, the MIUI 12.5 update seems to be doing the good work and we look forward to seeing it on other units soon.
