POCO – a former Xiaomi sub-brand – has confirmed that it would host a launch event on January 21.
The brand mentioned that the event would be broadcast online, and it will officially unveil the POCO M3 smartphone.
Interestingly, the brand will also take covers off the POCO M3 in Indonesia on January 21.
Meanwhile, the POCO M3 first debuted in November 2019. The smartphone arrived as the successor of the POCO M2. And it retails for $129.
The POCO M3 comes with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel that has a waterdrop notch design. The screen offers a Full HD+ resolution and has a Gorilla Glass 3 over it.
Inside, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset – that clocks at 2.0GHz – fuels the POCO M3. The handset offers the user 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of native storage.
The phone would likely arrive in Taiwan in multiple memory configurations. What the company has in mind remains to be seen at launch.
The POCO M3 has an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter and a triple camera system on its rear panel.
The rear camera unit comprises a 48-megapixel primary sensor followed by a pair of 2-megapixel snapper; one is a macro camera and the other a depth lens.
The POCO M3 will come pre-loaded with the MIUI 12 custom skin based on Android 10 OS. The handset draws power from a behemoth 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging.
Presently, the pricing of the phone in Taiwan remains unknown. However, the 4GB variant of the phone may carry the same $129 price tag.
