A few weeks backs, several reports started to hint at the arrival of a new POCO device. Not long after, other leaks revealed that the brand’s next device would debut as POCO F3 GT.
Interestingly, the brand took to its Twitter page today to share a teaser video, which confirms the existence of the POCO F3 GT.
The clip mentioned that the handset would feature the Dimensity 1200 chipset. It also revealed that the note Q3 is coming soon.
The video hints that the smartphone would likely launch in June or July.
Meanwhile, the handset’s design looks identical to that of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, which debuted in China last month.
Hence, speculations say the POCO F3 GT may arrive as a remake of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition.
The Redmi K40 Gaming Edition launched as the first gaming-focused smartphone from Redmi.
The handset features a mechanical pop-up shoulder button for gaming and RGB lighting around the rear camera system.
Rumoured specs of the POCO F3 GT smartphone
The handset sports a 6.67-inch OLED screen that promises a Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
It comes with the Dimensity 1200 chipset and 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM under the hood. The POCO F3 GT offers the user 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The handset will ship with the MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 OS. And it relies on a 5,065mAh battery – which supports 67W fast charging – for backup.
The POCO F3 GT would feature a 16-megapixel front camera that allows the user to take selfie pictures.
On the other hand, it sports a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system on its backside.
The device could arrive with a side-facing fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Meanwhile, the Country Director of POCO India – Anuj Sharma – mentioned that the POCO F3 GT’s cost ranges between 350 euros and 400 euros.
Therefore, it is safe to assume that the handset will sell between Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 in India.
