Yesterday, a prominent sub-brand of Xiaomi, POCO announced that it would officially take the cover off the POCO M3 smartphone on November 24. The launch event, which will take place virtually, will start at GMT+8.
Also, POCO has confirmed that the launch event is to unveil the POCO M3 in the global markets.
Interestingly, not long after the announcement, a well-known tipster, Mukul Sharma, revealed some of the specs of the upcoming POCO M3.
Meanwhile, the POCO M3 has surfaced some while back on Geekbench benchmarking platform. The Geekbench listing reveals the phone has the model number M2010J19CG, and it will feature the Snapdragon 662 mobile platform.
Now, the new piece of information shared by Sharma also confirms that the Snapdragon 662 processor would oversee the operations of the POCO M3.
Further, he claims that the handset will house a massive 6,000mAh battery, and it will carry support for 18W fast charging.
The POCO M3 may arrive with a 6.53-inch waterdrop notch display. On its rear panel, it would feature a 48-megapixel triple camera setup.
Besides the primary camera in the rear camera unit, the leak mentioned nothing of the configuration of the other lenses on either side of the phone.
However, claims have it that the POCO M3 may arrive as a revamped model of the Xiaomi Redmi 10.
Last week, a handset with model number M2010J19SC appeared on TEENA’s database. The listing of the phone shows that it weighs 198 grams and has a dimension of 162.3 x 77.24 x 9.6mm.
The phone will arrive with 6GB of RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage space, and Android 10 OS.
The model numbers of both phones are similar, and rumours are rife that the M2010J19SC phone will debut as either Redmi Note 10 or Redmi Note 10 4G.
