China-based smartphone manufacturer, Oppo has launched compelling smartphones thus far and the company seems all geared up to release its latest handsets on 17th March. The latest offerings include Oppo R9 and Oppo R9 Plus.
Both smartphones have cleared the final hurdle before their launch, vis-a-vis TENAA certification. The TENNA details revealed the design as well as a few specs and features of the two devices.
Oppo’s latest devices do not feature the 2K screens and are also not powered by Snapdragon 820 processors as speculated earlier.
In fact, the revealed details impart that Oppo has been influenced by the design of iPhone 6s. The latest handsets by Oppo feature a metal build, round edges and are relatively slim at 6.5mm for Oppo R9 and 7.4mm for the R9 Plus version. In addition, they also sport a fingerprint sensor mounted in the home button.
As far as the other specs are concerned, Oppo R9 features an AMOLED 5.5-inch display with 1080p screen resolution and comes with a 2850mAh battery backup. The device is powered by octa-core SoC clocked at 1.95GHz.
However, there is no information regarding the model of the chipset. The handset packs in 4GB of RAM along with 32GB expandable internal storage. Oppo R9 embraces 16MP rear snapper and also sports dual SIM connectivity.
Oppo R9 Plus comes with a 6-inches screen along with 1080p screen resolution and is backed by 4120mAh battery. The handset is driven by octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz.
For storage, Oppo R9 Plus packs in 4GB of RAM along with 64GB expandable storage on board. The device features 16MP rear camera and also sports dual SIM connectivity feature.
There is no official information about the pricing yet, however, the prices of R-series smartphones usually lie in between $400-$500, so it is safe to speculate that the forthcoming handsets will be priced in this range.
