Chinese smartphone producer, OPPO Electronics Corporation, has released a new exciting mid-range Android phone which will most likely set the tone for future generations of smartphones.
Smartphones just recently began sporting 3GB of RAM but OPPO decided to go above that with the OPPO R7s.
Despite sitting somewhere between the OPPO R7 and its larger OPPO R7 Plus sibling, the OPPO R7s has one trump card that makes it more appetizing: 4 GB of RAM to go along with mid-range specs.
The smartphone measures 151.8mm x 75.4mm x 6.95mm weighs 155g and its body is made from premium metal alloy coupled with a state-of-the-art surface coating technology which gives it a velvety metallic feel.
The R7s’ 5.5-inch arc edge screen and 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 isn’t going to win races but it won’t be lagging behind either. However with its 4 GB of memory, it could very well outperform its older contemporaries.
Despite sporting a 4GB RAM, the R7s has other great features, especially for a mid-range smartphone.
Some of its notable features include dual SIM slots – nano and micro- which support a 3G and a 4G networks at the same time, and a respectable 32GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded via microSD card by up to 128GB.
It sports a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera equipped with a flash and captures images in high definition.
It also has high definition shooting capabilities under low light conditions and high definition lenses for spontaneous shoots – features which most of its users will find breath-taking.
It boots faster and has a shorter app launch time than most smartphones, OPPO said on its website.
It’s armed with a 3,070mAh battery with fast-charging VOOC technology. This means a five minute charge reportedly gives the R7s two hours of talk time.
Oppo hasn’t announced pricing yet, but the handset is expected to go on sale in the Middle-East and North Africa in November.
