Last week, OPPO took to Indonesia to announce the OPPO A53 smartphone. Not long after the device unveiled, the Indian arm of the brand began to tease the arrival of the handset in the country.
Finally, the brand has introduced the OPPO A53 smartphone into the Indian market at a budget-friendly price.
The OPPO A53 sports a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a punch-hole design. It offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and has an aspect ratio of 20:9. Also, the screen carries support for a 90Hz refresh rate, which is fair because the OPPO A53 is a budget phone.
The handset launched in India as the first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 460 SoC. Alongside the chipset is up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB of native storage. It has a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion options.
The OPPO A53’s selfie camera is an f/2.0 aperture 16-megapixel snapper. It carries a rectangular-shaped module housing the secondary camera system on its backside. The camera system consists of a primary lens with a 16-megapixel resolution, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Regarding connectivity, the smartphone features dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, USB-C, and GPS.
The OPPO A53 comes pre-loaded with the ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10 OS. It houses a massive 5,000mAh battery and carries support for 18W fast charging feature.
Two variants of the OPPO A53 debuted in the Indian market. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model, which carries a price tag of Rs. 12, 990 and the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model; this model retails for Rs. 15,490.
The OPPO A53 can be purchased through Flipkart, and customers have the option to choose between the Fancy Blue and Electric Black colour editions the smartphone.
