Today, OPPO took to China to uncover the OPPO K9 5G smartphone. The smartphone arrived as the successor of the OPPO K7 5G that debuted last year.
The all-new OPPO K9 5G sets a record as the first smartphone in the K-series to feature a display with a high refresh rate.
Besides, the handset also features other attractive features like a powerful mid-range processor that supports 5G, a 64-megapixel rear camera system, and a large-sized battery that supports fast charging.
Specifications of the OPPO K9
The smartphone comes with a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that has a punch-hole design. The screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz.
In addition, the panel supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, and it has a 20:9 aspect ratio.
According to OPPO, the latest OPPO K9 5G smartphone features a sixth-generation under-display fingerprint scanner.
Inside, the Snapdragon 765G chipset fuels the OPPO K9 5G. It features 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and an in-built storage capacity of 256GB.
One of the cons of this device is that it lacks support for storage expansion. However, it comes pre-loaded with the ColorOS 11.1 based on the Android 11 OS.
On the front, it sports a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.
The rectangular-camera module on the rear panel of the OPPO K9 5G consists of 64-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel ultrawide snapper, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
For backup, the OPPO K9 5G houses a 4,300mAh battery that supports 65W rapid charging. The firm states that the device would charge fully in 35 minutes with the 65W fast charger.
The smartphone sports a VC liquid-cooled heat sink and a multi-layer thermal conductive graphite sheet. These features allow heat dissipation, and overall, a smooth gaming experience.
The OPPO K9 5G supports connectivity features like 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 5G, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C, Bluetooth 5.1, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Pricing and Availability of the OPPO K9 5G
The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage option costs 1,999 Yuan (~$309), and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant sells for 2,199 Yuan (~$339).
OPPO unveiled the phone in Spades K (black) and Wings of Symphony (blue gradient) colour editions.
