In the last couple of weeks, several reports and leaks on the new OPPO Reno4 SE smartphone aired on the internet.
Many claims were made on its specifications and launch date before the company announced its official release date.
Finally, OPPO has officially unveiled the latest member of the Reno4 series – OPPO Reno4 SE. The launch event took place in China.
The Reno4 SE comes with a 60Hz 6.43-inch AMOLED display, which supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
The screen also delivers 100% sRGB, 91.97% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and up to 180Hz touch sampling rate. It offers the user with a 90.8% screen space.
Under the hood, the Dimensity 720 chipset, which clocks at 2.4GHz, powers the Reno4 SE. The processor is coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.0 storage.
On the front side, the handset houses a 32-megapixel shooter in its on-screen punch-hole. The selfie shooter has support for portrait mode, smart beauty, EIS, night scene mode, and 1080p video recording at 30fps.
On the other hand, the phone’s back panel features a square module which houses three lenses. The camera system includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor, which is followed by an ultra-wide 8-megapixel lens with a 119° field of view and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The rear camera carries support for portrait mode, professional mode, night scene, EIS, panorama, 1080p slow-motion video recording at 120fps, and 1080p video recording at 30fps.
For the security, the device debuts with an in-screen fingerprint reader.
Out of the box, the Reno4 SE comes pre-installed with the ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10 OS.
It houses a 4,300mAh dual-cell battery, which supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge tech. According to OPPO, the device will charge fully in about 37 minutes.
The phone supports connectivity features such as 5G, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio port.
The Reno4 SE arrived in China in two variants. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, which carries a price tag of 2,499 Yuan ($369) and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model, which costs 2,799 Yuan ($413).
