We would think that a company would choose to launch its vanilla units first and build expectations around the higher-priced devices in the same family. Oppo decided to go the other way around, though, choosing to show us both of the F19 Pro and F19 Pro+ first and keeping the baseline version till now.
Well, maybe they wanted to get more interest around the higher priced units first before they brought the small brother.
No matter what they might have been thinking, we now have the Oppo F19 to look at also.
The new 6.43-inch device is launched in Sri Lanka and is expected to make its way to India soon as it gets ready for an even widespread global launch.
On the back of the unit is a main 48MP shooter leading the triple camera setup which looks close to what we have on the Galaxy S21 units. Under the hood is a Qualcomm SD 662 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and Android 11 out of the box. A massive 5000mAh battery keeps the power running every day.
Interested users should be ready to pick the unit up in either Midnight Blue or Prism Black. There is no word yet on whether or not more colour options will be made available.
