Finally, OPPO has unveiled the much-anticipated A-series smartphone – the OPPO A56 5G. And the handset arrived as the successor of the OPPO A55 5G smartphone that recently debuted in India.
Interestingly, the all-new OPPO A56 5G smartphone shares the same design as the OPPO A55 5G and almost identical specifications. The device sports a metallic build with a rear gradient design.
Speaking of the rear, the OPPO A56 5G comes with a rectangular camera module that houses the triple rear camera system. OPPO upgraded the A56 5G over the A55 5G in the camera aspect as the latter debuted with a dual-camera system on its backside.
On the front, the OPPO A56 smartphone features a 6.5-inch LCD screen with a waterdrop notch for the selfie snapper. The handset carries the MediaTek-powered Dimensity 700 processor alongside 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. And the OPPO A56 5G allows for storage expansion via a Micro SD card.
The rear camera system on the OPPO A56 5G comprises a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth assist lens, and it ships with the ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 OS. The OPPO A56 5G relies on a 5,000mAh battery that supports only 10W charging.
Other features of the A56 5G include NFC support and a side-facing fingerprint scanner that double as the power button. It arrived in China with a price tag of 1,599 Yuan (~$250), and customers can pick up the handset in color options like Blue, Black, and Purple.
