Recently, an OPPO smartphone with model number CPH2269 got approval from several certification platforms like TKDN in Indonesia, ECC in Europe, and IMDA in Singapore.
The listing of the smartphone revealed that it would debut under the OPPO A16 moniker.
Interestingly, the upcoming OPPO A16 smartphone has received approval from the FCC in the United States. And speculations believe that the launch of the device is near.
The FCC listing of the OPPO A16 mentions that it has a dimension of 163.78 x 75.62mm. Diagonally, the phone measures 180.39mm.
Interestingly, the FCC documents of the phone contain a schematic of its backside.
According to the image, the OPPO A16 would come with a rectangular-shaped camera system. However, the listing did not reveal the configurations and number of lenses to expect on the phone.
The OPPO A16 will ship with the ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11 OS and a 5,000mAh battery that supports only 10W charging.
The smartphone supports connectivity features like 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
It appears the phone would arrive as a predecessor of the OPPO A15 that launched last year.
The OPPO A15 smartphone packs a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel that supports HD+ resolution.
It comes with a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper and a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera setup.
The OPPO A15 debuts with the MediaTek Helio P35 processor alongside 2GB / 3GB of RAM. It offers the user 32GB of onboard storage and a 4,230mAh battery that supports 10W charging.
The OPPO A15 sold for Rs 9,490 (~$131) at launch. And speculations say that the upcoming OPPO A16 would sell around that price range.
