Last year April, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones. Lately, rumors about the release of a less powerful phone by the tech giant has been flying around. The device is called the OnePlus Z.
An unknown OnePlus device surfaced on Geekbench, a well-known benchmarking platform. The device appears to be the upcoming OnePlus Z. The smartphone which is expected to debut in July is rumored to be powered by snapdragon 765G.
The mysterious device with model number AC2003 that emerged on Geekbench 5 scored 612 in the single-core test and 1955 in the multiple core test. The smartphone will run on a Qualcomm octa-core processor named “Lito”.
The OPPO Reno4 that surfaced on Geekbench 5 yesterday featured the same Lito processor. Rumor has it that the Reno4 will be powered by Snapdragon 765G SoC. If the rumor is legit, then there is a high chance that the OnePlus Z will feature the same processor as the OPPO Reno4.
Furthermore, the Geekbench listing revealed that the device will be pre-installed with Android 10 OS alongside 12GB of RAM.
The OnePlus Z will likely debut with a 6.4-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
As for the camera, the back panel of the smartphone will likely sport a 48-megapixel main camera followed by a 16-megapixel and a 12-megapixel lens.
The OnePlus Z will likely feature a punch-hole front camera design just like new generation phones. The device is equipped with a 4,000mAh battery, and carries support for 30W fast charging.
In terms of storage, the OnePlus Z may ship in just two storage editions. Customers are at liberty to choose between the 64GB and 256GB storage variants.
The OnePlus Z will be starting at GBP 400 which approximates to about $500.
